What it does

Upgrade iron armor with copper and amethyst into the Cindersteel set: charcoal steel with copper edges and teal inlays, worth 15 armor points when you wear all 4 pieces. Then craft 2 weapons that hit normally and each have a special move when used. The Ward Mace gives you Resistance I for 3 seconds. The Gale Spear strikes the hostile mob you aim at, up to 7 blocks away, for 5 damage and slows it for a moment.

Each special move costs 4 durability, then both weapons wait 8 seconds before either can do another, even if you switch to a different copy. Normal attacks still work while you wait. The spear never hits players, tamed pets or animals, and can't reach through blocks. The mace won't guard while you already have Resistance. Special moves don't work in Adventure mode. Crafting a Cindersteel piece makes a new one, so enchantments and names on the iron piece are lost.

How to install Steel Armor & Weapons

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
  2. At a crafting table, combine an iron helmet, chestplate, leggings or boots with 2 copper ingots and 1 amethyst shard to make the matching Cindersteel piece. Use plain iron pieces, since enchantments and names don't carry over. Wear it like any armor.
  3. At a crafting table, in any arrangement: the Ward Mace takes 4 iron ingots, 2 copper ingots, 1 stick, 1 leather and 1 amethyst shard; the Gale Spear takes 2 iron ingots, 2 copper ingots, 2 sticks, 1 string and 1 amethyst shard.
  4. Attack as usual. To guard, use the mace (right-click on Windows, press Ward guard on touch screens). To thrust, aim the spear at a hostile mob within 7 blocks and use it (right-click on Windows, press Gale thrust on touch screens).
  5. Wait 8 seconds between special moves. The action bar tells you when a move is still cooling down or has no target, and those tries cost nothing.

Which version do I have?

Minecraft Bedrock shows its version number in the bottom-right corner of the main menu. Everything on ModChest is built for Bedrock 1.26.45 and newer, on Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows. If your number is lower, update Minecraft from the store you installed it from, then import the mod.
