What it does

Dig deep to find cinder ore: black lumps split by glowing orange cracks, in stone and deepslate between y -60 and y -4. Mine it with an iron, diamond or netherite pickaxe for raw cinder and a little experience; Silk Touch takes the ore block itself. Smelt raw cinder in a furnace or blast furnace, then craft cinder tools and armor in the same shapes as iron ones, and pack 9 ingots into a block of cracked cinder bricks. The tools last a little longer than diamond ones, and the armor gives the same protection as diamond.

The chestplate is the reason to go looking. While you wear it you have Fire Resistance, so you can walk through fire and swim through lava without burning. Put it on before a trip to the Nether or a lava cave.

Cinder ore only appears in chunks your world generates after the packs are on, so explore somewhere new. Fire Resistance works only while the chestplate is worn; the other pieces and the tools have no power of their own. Cinder armor has no toughness or knockback resistance, so netherite still takes big hits better.

How to install Cinder Armor & Tools

Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
Explore new chunks and dig down between y -60 and y -4 to find cinder ore. Mine it with an iron, diamond or netherite pickaxe to get raw cinder.
Smelt raw cinder in a furnace or blast furnace to get a cinder ingot. 9 ingots craft a block of cinder, and a block crafts back into 9 ingots.
At a crafting table, craft cinder tools and armor in the same shapes as iron ones, using cinder ingots in place of iron ingots and sticks for handles.
Wear the cinder chestplate to get Fire Resistance, then walk through fire or swim across lava. Take it off and the effect ends.
