What it does

Home Cooking adds 8 meals you make at a crafting table from everyday farm food: Root Vegetable Pie, Mushroom Flatbread, Kelp-Wrapped Salmon, Pumpkin Roll, Orchard Tart, Loaded Potato, Honey Biscuit and Beetroot Dumplings. Each recipe makes 1 meal, and the ingredients can go in any arrangement.

The meals restore 6 to 9 hunger points (3 to 4.5 hunger icons), stack to 16, and take the usual 1.6 seconds to eat. Like most food, you can only eat them when you’re hungry. They give no effects, and although some pictures show a bowl, you don’t need one and don’t get one back. Minecraft’s own foods and recipes stay the same.

How to install Home Cooking

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world’s settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
  2. At a crafting table, add the ingredients in any arrangement to make 1 meal: Root Vegetable Pie (bread, carrot, baked potato), Mushroom Flatbread (bread, brown mushroom, red mushroom), Pumpkin Roll (bread, pumpkin, sugar), Loaded Potato (baked potato, carrot, wheat seeds).
  3. More meals: Honey Biscuit (2 wheat, honeycomb), Beetroot Dumplings (2 beetroot, wheat), Orchard Tart (apple, sweet berries, wheat, sugar), Kelp-Wrapped Salmon (cooked salmon, dried kelp).
  4. When your hunger bar isn’t full, hold use (right mouse button on Windows, press and hold on touch screens) to eat a meal, like any other food.

Which version do I have?

Minecraft Bedrock shows its version number in the bottom-right corner of the main menu. Everything on ModChest is built for Bedrock 1.26.45 and newer, on Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows. If your number is lower, update Minecraft from the store you installed it from, then import the mod.
