What it does

Craft a Kelp Harvester from iron ingots, kelp and a stick. Aim at the kelp block you want to keep, then crouch and use to harvest up to 6 kelp blocks directly above it, dropping 1 kelp per block cut. The aimed block stays in place. Reach is 5 blocks, and each block cut costs 1 point of the tool's 256 durability. The run stops at the first block that is not kelp, and a worn tool cuts fewer blocks. Kelp left above a gap can break into items as it would when harvested by hand, so a tall stalk can shed more kelp than the tool cuts. Wait 0.6 seconds between uses. Harvesting works in Survival mode.

How to install Kelp Harvester

Activate both the behavior pack and resource pack for your world.
At a crafting table, put iron ingots in the top-middle, top-right and middle-right slots, kelp in the center, and a stick in the bottom-left slot.
In Survival, hold the harvester and aim at the kelp block you want to keep. Crouch and use (right-click on Windows, tap Harvest kelp on touch screens).
Collect the dropped kelp; the block you aimed at remains in place.
