What it does

Hold the pack and use it to sweep whole stacks from your main inventory into the bag, up to 18 stacks. Crouch and use it to unpack them into empty inventory slots. Your hotbar is never touched, and the pack's tooltip shows how many stacks it holds.

The pack only takes plain items that stack, like blocks, food and ingredients. Tools, armor and anything named or enchanted stay in your inventory. Stacks go in and come out whole, and unpacking stops when your inventory has no empty slots. Each pack keeps its own supplies when you drop it, put it in a chest or reload the world, but if the pack burns, falls into the void or despawns, everything inside is lost.

How to install Hiking Backpack

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
  2. At a crafting table, combine 4 leather, 3 string and 1 chest in any arrangement to make a Hiking Backpack.
  3. Hold the pack and use it (right-click on Windows, tap Pack / unpack on touch screens) to store whole stacks from your main inventory, up to 18.
  4. Crouch and use it to unpack. Stacks go into empty inventory slots, so clear some space first.

Which version do I have?

Minecraft Bedrock shows its version number in the bottom-right corner of the main menu. Everything on ModChest is built for Bedrock 1.26.45 and newer, on Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows. If your number is lower, update Minecraft from the store you installed it from, then import the mod.
