Whitewashed daub and timber-framed panels rise from a course of hewn stone plinths between carved corner posts, under a dark oak roof. An iron-banded door stands under a stone arch with a jettied oriel window above it, leaded diamond windows have heavy oak shutters, a hanging iron lantern and a wall sconce light the front, and a hewn stone step leads in.

Tips for building a Minecraft house
- Keep the walls three blocks high
- With one-block doors and windows, walls three blocks high leave room for a window row above the door and keep a small house in proportion.
- Roof it with stairs
- Step rows of stairs up from a one-block overhang on each side to a ridge along the front; fill the triangle at each end with the wall block.
- Replace wall blocks, then dress the front
- Windows, doors and wall panels take the place of a wall block. Shutters, lanterns, planters and trims go in the block in front of the wall.
- Give the front a yard
- A porch, a veranda, a path or a fence in front of the door makes a house look lived in from the street.
